West Main Self Storage has acquired 15,495,905 satoshis for approximately $10,000 at an acquisition price of $64,027.37 per bitcoin. This is the company’s fifty-fourth consecutive weekly purchase — the streak now extends beyond a full calendar year without a missed week.
As of August 4, 2026, West Main holds 1,618,889,007 satoshis (~16.19 BTC) acquired across 54 weekly DCA purchases, one $800,000 lump-sum acquisition, and one tax-loss harvest recapture, for an aggregate capital deployment of approximately $1,340,000. That works out to an average acquisition cost of approximately $82,773 per bitcoin; after June’s tax-loss harvest, the adjusted tax cost basis stands at approximately $66,637 per bitcoin. Every square foot of the West Main facility is now backed by 23,320 satoshis.
This week’s fill at ~$64,027 landed below both the pre-TLH average acquisition cost and the post-TLH tax basis — another mechanical compression of both figures as the program compounds.
Year one closed with the treasury crossing 16 BTC and an average acquisition cost of approximately $82,773 per bitcoin — 29.7% below where the program began. With that milestone in hand, management is taking the time between rounds to evaluate how capital is deployed from here.
Three options are actively on the table: continuing weekly bitcoin acquisitions at the current $10,000 pace, building a cash reserve to strengthen the balance sheet and preserve dry powder for opportunistic bitcoin lump-sum buys or strategic transactions, and reinvesting into other parts of the operating business — including the storage facility, the rooftop solar array, and complementary revenue lines. Management expects to share more detail as the review progresses.
West Main’s view of bitcoin as a long-duration reserve asset is unchanged. What is under review is the allocation — specifically, how each incremental dollar of business cash flow is best directed among bitcoin acquisition, retained cash, and reinvestment into the operating facility.
Year one established the treasury. The next phase is about capital allocation. West Main intends to make those decisions deliberately, disclose them clearly, and report the results.
